In a Florida swamp, starving Gabby Gator has a little diner. Things are slow; he is just waiting for a good meal to come along.

A homeless street character (Larry Hankin) tries to get free food from the night waitress (Ruth Silvera) in Solly's Diner. His plea is interrupted by a desperate business man (Roger Bowen) who pulls a gun and demands all the money in the cash register.

Diner owner, Daffy Duck, must find a real mouse to make into a mouse-burger for El Supremo, a mean Mexican cat.

Gabby was a Max Fleischer animated cartoon series distributed through Paramount Pictures. Gabby debuted as the town crier in the 1939 animated feature Gulliver's Travels produced by Fleischer. Shortly afterward Paramount and Fleischer saw fit to give Gabby his own Technicolor cartoon series, eight entries of which were produced between 1940 and 1941. Gabby was voiced by Pinto Colvig, the voice of Walt Disney's Goofy. The Gabby cartoons were sold to U.M.&M. T.V. Corp. in 1955, which later became part of National Telefilm Associates, which became Republic Pictures, and was then sold to Paramount's current parent Viacom in 1999.

On a dark and stormy night, a rookie trucker is asked by his supervisor to check up on an eerie nightmarish diner where a ghoulish cook and a giant monstrous chef try to put him on the menu.

This pilot for a TV version of the critically acclaimed feature Diner (1982) focused on the complaints of the wives, Elyse and Beth, that their husbands were spending too much time hanging at the diner with their friends.

Wendy has learned that the bank is coming to foreclose on the diner unless they get their books in order, which she doesn’t know how to do. While Milius urges her to stand up to the bank “goons”, two volcanologists complain about the slow service. Their whining is cut short by a one-in-a-million volcanic eruption.
